Nelson Hall is the first new dormitory
built at the Denver University in 38 years. There are over 200 rooms with 431
beds for 2nd,3rd and 4th year students. 80 students live in apartment style
units that have kitchens and living rooms in them, and the remaining students
live in suites with 4 to 6 students. Delta Dry Wall had over 265000 square feet
of wall framing and 90000 square feet of ceiling framing on the project. Delta
also had 3500 sheets of hi-impact board and 14000 square feet of plaster to
install on the project to achieve a stronger product to eliminate damage from
the students. Delta Dry Wall installed a new plaster product called Armourcoat
Spatulata in the dinning hall to achieve a marblized effect, we were one of the
first to install this product in Denver.
